Hire a professional wedding string quartet for your special day. With over 100 string quartets to choose from, we are perfectly placed to find you the perfect act and we represent the finest string quartets around.
Your wedding string quartet can play as guests take their seats for the wedding ceremony and then play a special piece for you as you walk down the aisle. They can then play another piece during the signing if the register and couple's exit. During the wedding ceremony, we encourage you to ask for your favourite piece of music - particularly for your entrance and our acts will do their best to find the sheet music if they don't already know the song or piece of music. If an arrangement for string quartet is not available, then there may be an additional fee for them to create an arrangement for you.
Once you have hired 4 musicians to travel to your wedding and play for your ceremony, why not ask them to stay and play for another hour or 2 during the wedding drinks reception? The fee may not go up by very much for the extra time.
Another option is to hire the wedding string quartet to provide background music during the meal. We recommend that you check with your venue that there will be enough space for 4 musicians and all of your guests.
All of our wedding string quartets offer traditional classical repertoire but we also have many string quartets who offer modern pop songs, jazz and show-tunes and even Bollywood music.
A wedding string quartet consists of 2 violin players, 1 viola player and a cellist. If you are trying to keep within a budget, then many of our quartets can also offer a string trio option which consists of 1 violin player, 1 viola player and a cellist. The sound is very similar but there are often less songs available.
A wedding string quartet will play usually without amplification and we also offer string duos and solo violinists if you are trying to keep the costs down.
