The Elmet String Quartet
With over 20 years experience, this Yorkshire based String Quartet have provided a varied program of music for many special occasions.
They perform at weddings and events throughout the north of England and are in demand for corporate functions, parties, dinners etc as well as for weddings, with music that can be chosen to suit a church wedding, civil ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast.
The string quartet has built up a wealth of experience while playing for functions across the UK. They pride themselves on their professionalism and knowing how to fulfil a client’s expectations. All members of the quartet are professional musicians and have performed with many of Britain’s finest orchestras including Opera North, The Halle, Northern Ballet, Northern Chamber Orchestra, English National Ballet, Welsh Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Liverpool Philharmonic etc.
The string quartet has a large repertoire list. In addition to an extensive classical repertoire, the quartet is increasingly requested to play modern pop songs. These are being continually added to the repertoire as requested. If a requested song does not appear on the repertoire list it can generally be sourced or arranged though there may be an extra fee for this.

A quick note to thank the string quintet for its professionalism at the show, we were delighted with their work and wouldn't hesitate to invite them to join us again the next time we're in the North. The 'same day' rehearsal makes it a long day, but they soldiered through it without complaint and were a joy to work with throughout.

Matthew and I wanted to say a big thank you to you for your beautiful playing at our wedding on 8th July. It brought a tear to my eye as I was waiting to walk down the aisle and the opening of the second movement of the emperor concerto started, and the timing worked out perfectly! We had lots of comments on the day about how good your playing was, and how seamlessly you moved around the venue!
