We represent the finest sitar & tabla players in the UK who can perform authentic music for your wedding, party or Bollywood themed event. Asian music is one of our specialities and we have been helping our clients to book professional sitar players in the UK since 1999.
Our sitar and tabla players will perform mix of authentic Indian classical ragas as well as well known Bollywood songs to give your event a truly Indian feel. Our acts will provide their own PA systems and can play background music for drinks receptions, parties or dinners.
We have some sitar players who can be booked as soloists but most will only perform as a duo with a tabla player.
If you are looking for a different combination of instruments, we also offer bansuri (Indian flute) players and santoor (Indian dulcimer) players who can play solo or with a tabla player. We also offer singers who can perform traditional Punjabi folk songs, Ghazals, Qawali and Hindi songs with a tabla player.
The sitar is a fretted instrument with 18 - 20 strings and is mostly used in Hindustani and classical Indian music. It is now known all over the world made famous by performers like Ravi Shankar who introduced the instrument to The Beatles.
Don't forget that sitar and tabla players will sit on the floor so it really helps if you can organise a raised area or stage for them otherwise your guests may not be able to see them very well. They playing position means they can't sit in a chair!
