The Sitar Maestro - Indian Clasical Sitar Player
The Sitar Maestro is available for weddings and events across London and the Midlands. He started playing and learning the Sitar at the late age of 18 in 2011 and is now part of the next generation of exciting British-born sitar players.
The Sitar Maestro is a rising star on the Indian classical music scene representing ‘The Great British Gharana’. As a member of Tarang (The National Ensemble for Indian Music) and as a solo artist, he has performed in a number of prestigious venues and festivals; The Bridgewater Hall, St Georges Hall, Festival No. 6 to name a few. Based in Leicester, his musical upbringing was initially in western classical and contemporary western music which adds to his innovative playing style. Under the guidance of renowned sitarists Ustad Dharambir Singh (MBE), Roopa Panesar, he is fast becoming one of the finest British-born Sitar players.

He has worked on a number of collaborative projects such as, the speaking hand, Penguins rising with Zak Starkey (The Who and Oasis), Philharmonic Orchestra, NYCGB, Mayur Navekar (Bandish Project) and Michael Tedstone (ManikeMusic) to name a few.
