Emerald Burnett - Harpist
This Yorkshire harpist was born in Harrogate and taught the harp from the age of 8 by her Great Aunt.
She was classically trained over many years alongside playing in the Area School Symphony Orchestra, the Northern Junior Philharmonic Orchestra and during her time at University, the University of York Symphony Orchestra and at the age of 18 she began playing professionally. Over the years she has increasingly specialised as a wedding harpist.
Since then she has completed the International Harp Therapy Programme and taken the harp into more therapeutic environments. Whilst concentrating on harp teaching and performing, she has enjoyed the broadening of her portfolio career.

“I didn't get much of a chance to speak to you at our wedding on Monday 11th June but I just wanted to say thank you. You play the harp beautifully and more than one person commented on how lovely it was and how it complimented the theme of the wedding. The harp was something that my husband wanted and I'm so very glad that we booked you to play for us.
