The London Irish Piper - Solo Uilleann Piper, Whistle and Flute Player

The London-Irish Piper is a multi instrumentalist, singer, composer and Uilleann piper with more than 30 years experience performing and recording. He learned his traditional Irish music on the Irish session scene, in and around London, since the mid 1970s.

He can provide solo uillean pipes, whistle, flute and he is also a ceilidh caller. Please mention if you'd like a quote for the ceilidh trio.

No stranger to the recording studio, this artist released his debut solo album in 2009, followed by three further studio albums in 2011, 2012 and 2022, plus an EP 2015.

He toured and recorded with ‘Grunge Folk’ legend Wild Willy Barrett for more than 15 years and has recently recorded with guitar legend Gordon Giltrap, Tom Toomey (Zombies) and Jakko Jakszyk (King Crimson).

He has been collaborating on creative projects with Irish Poet, Playwright and Author Seamus O’Rourke since 2017. He has recently been on tour with ‘The Messages’ that feature members of Super group ‘Kila’ and ‘The Hank Wangford Band’.

He spent the end of 2022 performing folk music on ocean liners Queen Mary 2 and The Queen Victoria, and visited Amsterdam, Norway, New York and the Caribbean.

In 2013, he assembled a group of musicians who became the first ever to perform traditional Irish music at a Royal Reception in Buckingham Palace.  He also had an opportunity to perform for King Charles and Queen Camilla in 2022 when they visited the Irish Cultural Centre London.

The London Irish Piper - Solo Uilleann Piper, Whistle and Flute Player Feedback

The Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, the UK’s Premiere Centre for Irish Arts, has presented this performer, as a solo artist and also with his full band in concert, on many occasions and we can confirm without hesitation that this musician, and the trio, are absolutely outstanding acts.

Rosalind Scanlon, Irish Cultural Centre London, (December 2023)

This performer played at my recent wedding in Oxford and was absolutely fantastic. A last minute change of circumstances left us without our original musician, but he stepped up late in the day and performed excellently. He played all of the songs that were specially requested. Playing while guests arrived, Brides entrance, recessional and then a further hour of background music, all performed with exceptional talent. I have since received many compliments about how moving his music was. We are so glad he was able to play for us and we would recommend this piper's playing to anyone. A highly talented musician who was an absolute pleasure to talk to pre and post wedding.
