The London Bluegrass Band - Bluegrass Country Band Feedback

Absolutely Amazing! What a night. People constantly mentioned how the band had made the night. Beautiful voice and the playlist that Lilac created for the barn dance theme was perfect. Can’t say enough, just super pleased that we found them! Remko, who was in charge of set up and sound quality was brilliant, knew exactly what he wanted and knew what he was doing, always making it work, whatever we suggested. Both Lilac and Remko were up for moving outside instead of inside (due to the rare nice British weather), which turned out to be a huge success and a great shout. The sound quality outside was brilliant and with the lights, this really did make the evening, that more special. Can’t express enough how good these people are. Worth every penny and so much more. They even stayed around till the end of the party which was a lovely touch. A must have band! No need to be looking elsewhere. Thank you all so much.

Tom C,

We've booked the 3pc & caller well in advance for our wedding anniversary party. The band arrived early and accommodated the set times to our guests and requests. The caller was engaging and dancefloor full. Thank you Barn It! for a brilliant performance and a successful evening.

Jim F,

This band played at our school charity dinner last weekend and I am going to let the pupils do the talking: "Vibrant; great company; made it a lot of fun; great singing and music; the callers explained everything really well and made sure everyone understood what they should do (the dance was demonstrated to me at this time!); lively; really good atmosphere; they were funny; great energy - you get the picture!" - Big thank you to Lilac and everyone else involved.

Jacqueline M,

This band organised a great evening of line dancing for 80 teenagers. After some initial reluctance they were soon tapping away and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. After a pizza break they then chilled to the sounds of the band. Thank you very much indeed and we will certainly be inviting the Band back.

Nick W,

This band performed at a Country & Western night at our working men's club. The band was brilliant good song choices and communication. I would warmly recommend them for any event.

Mick A,

We needed a to book a last-minute Bluegrass band for a country & western themed event for one of our clients. Lilac was accommodating and made sure the band and musicians were arranged and arrived in plenty time to allow for rehearsals. They performed well and included a line dance instructor. Overall we had a successful night and a satisfied client. I would recommend their services. Thank you again.

Helen S,

Thank you for your lovely performance, the evening was great!!! You were right, the wind & cold brought everyone into the barn to dance, chat & listen to your music!! Compliments from everyone, they loved your music and commented on how good it was to hear a really good live band. The sound was excellent, the caller friendly & encouraging. Please do thank all your musicians, the caller & Remko for making the night such a success. And thank you to you for listening to what I requested & giving us all a most entertaining evening. I do wish you well with all your future plans for ‘Barn It!’. With my good wishes! Penelope.

Penelope B,

Thank you to you and the band for creating such a wonderful musical background to our staff party yesterday. We have received many comments on how brilliant the music was. We will certainly recommend you to other colleagues and friends.

Ali M,

Barn It! recently played at our wedding in our back garden and they were incredible! Everybody was up swinging each other around to Cotton Eye Joe and other great hits. They were perfect for such a mixed age group and we all had fun trying out line dancing, we would like to thank Sound With Us for making our day so fun and a day our guests are still talking about!

Natalie M,

Thanks once again for playing at our event. The music was brilliant and your voice was amazing. I particularly like the way you adapted each set to the needs of the event. Starting off with gentle background music during the meal with a slightly more upbeat tempo for the second set with the last set making for a fantastic atmosphere. As good as you were I don't think you would have been able to put on such a great show without your sound engineer, Remko constantly adapted the set up and sound to make sure that it sounded great around the whole venue. It was great to see modern technology at work with his remote pad allowing him to move around the room to make sure everyone could hear the music! All in all it made for a fantastic night!

Ken S,

We booked Barn It! for our anniversary Barn Dance which was attended by around 200 people. We had a caller who helped everyone learn the steps. It was a great evening! We had the opportunity to discuss what was wanted directly with the band prior to the event which was helpful and reassuring. The band subsequently put together a great set with a fabulous selection of songs which were performed brilliantly. The interval music was also well received. We had nothing but positive feedback from our guests, so a successful evening! Very happy with our choice of band for this special event.

Carole B,

I want to have the party again! Nothing made our Wild West theme party as good as Barn It! From booking, setting up, to the live performance, they were professional, flexible, kind and extremely talented. 'Barn It!' and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and even got people up dancing (which doesn't always happen often at corporate events) so much so, we booked them for an additional set! Thank you so much! We will definitely book again and I highly recommend to anyone. Great value too!

1. Setup: Ideally 2.5hrs before guests arrive. This allows for unloading, PA & lighting setup, band sound check.

2. Performance Times: Standard performance 2x 45min sets. Another set is optional at an extra cost.

3. DJ / Playlist: Included in your quote is a quality Spotify playlist to be played before/during/after the show alongside disco party lights, which guarantees a full dance floor. An active DJ with full desk is also available at an extra cost.

4. Food / Drink: We ask for the band & team to receive a meal & light drinks during the event.

5. Travel Expenses: Over 20 miles will be added on top.

6. Parking: The band and engineer either travel in several cars or one van, depending on specifications. Please check parking restrictions / permits with the venue.

7. Accessibility: Indication of venue accessibility for loading / unloading. ie stairs, restricted areas etc.

8. Power: 2x standard 230 -240V power sockets required (not from the same power point to avoid overload) ideally close to the performance area.

9. Sound Restrictions: Some venues use noise/sound limiters to restrict the audio playing level of band/DJ. We strongly advise against venues that use limiters, as it might cut power whilst the band is performing and damage sensitive equipment.

10. De-Rig: We would require about 1.5 to 2 hours to clear the area at the end of the night.
