The Suffolk Wedding Harpist - Harpist
This harpist is based in Suffolk and is available for weddings and events throughout the region. She performs a mix of classical and popular repertoire including plenty of current pop songs arranged for the harp.
She began my harp studies with Carol Harries, continuing on to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with Eluned Pierce and went on to study at the University of Manchester under the tutelage of Eira Lynn Jones. During this time she was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales and the Halle Youth Orchestra touring England, Wales, Ireland and Germany. She then trained as a music teacher taking up my first post in Norwich and later moving to Nottingham to continue teaching.
She now regularly plays at corporate, charity and private events. Most recently she performed with the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra and the Djanogly Community Orchestra and was also requested to play on Radio Norfolk’s Christmas Eve Show at the end of 2015.

The Suffolk Wedding Harpist - Harpist Feedback
“It was really lovely having you there playing and it helped make our day even more special. Lots of the guests commented on how great you were and one of our friends said that it made her feel like she was in some kind of magical dream with your harp music floating beautifully across the grounds.

“She played the harp at our daughter's wedding - beautifully. The music was lovely, she played effortlessly and impressed us all. I would thoroughly recommend her to play at any function, she needed no instruction just competently entertained our guests on our very special day. It was magic!

“She created such a lovely atmosphere for our wedding ceremony, just what we were looking for. The harp is such a fantastic choice of instrument for a wedding and she played our choice of piece beautifully and with great expression. She has a fun personality and has a very professional manner. We would highly recommend her musical expertise at your wedding or any event.

“She was amazing and professional from day one when we booked her for our wedding in January 2015. The music choices made our big day special. She created such a romantic and warm atmosphere. Our guests and we were so impressed with her very talented harp playing - we are so pleased that she was part of why our day was so perfect.

“She played beautifully the brides choice of music. It was a surprise for the groom, but a very welcome one! Her prelude music was wonderfully calming and set the tone for the rest of the ceremony and the rest of the day. The bride enjoyed listening to the music before she came in... maybe a little too much! Having harp music made the service special; it touched lots of our guests and many commented on it afterwards. Our mothers especially enjoyed it. It is such an elegant instrument and very lovely music. In that way, she helped us make the service what we hoped it would be. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

“Having already heard recordings of her playing, I was confident in her ability to play well, and I asked her to to play the harp at our wedding. The 2 pieces I had selected - Gabriel's Oboe (from The Mission), and a piece from the film Tangled were performed beautifully! About the prelude music (before I entered), my friend said it was 'amazing'. She is a wonderful, talented performer and composer. I would recommend her.

“We highly recommend her! We recently got married in August at the double Tree By Hilton, she was perfect and very talented, all the guests commented on how beautiful she played, helping create a calming and peaceful atmosphere, It was so lovely to walk into the venue to the harp it made me instantly smile! We had her playing the harp whilst we were eating and it was as so relaxing and just made the day for us! We requested songs which she played brilliantly, great addition to the wedding!!

“My daughter and her fiancé first met the harpist at a wedding fayre at the Doubletree Nottingham gateway hotel. They were impressed by the playing and thought that this would make a very different addition to their recent wedding day in September 2017. She was easy to deal with and assisted in the choices of music. On the day she played during the ceremony and then as background music during the reception. This was a great accompaniment, particularly as she played well known tunes and even some requests. Overall, we enjoyed this very much and a number of guests commented that this was an unusual and very welcome addition to the day.
