The harp is a very popular choice for weddings - either during the ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast or any combination of these. It is a truly romantic instrument and will also look great in your wedding photos!
A typical booking is to hire one of our wedding harpists to start playing 20-30 minutes before the ceremony starts - this is a great way to set the tone and create a relaxed atmosphere as guests are taking their seats. The harpist can then perform your choice of song as you walk down the aisle followed by a piece of music while the register is being signed and a final piece for the couple's exit. The harpist can then move the harp to the area where you are having your drinks reception and plat for guests whilst the photos are being taken.

Wedding harpists don't usually use amplification but if you have more than 150 guests let us know as some of our harpists can provide one. We offer classical harpists with the larger pedal harp (also known as the concert harp) as well as harpists with the smaller Clarsach or lever harp (often called the Celtic harp).
Some wedding harpists prefer not to play outside but many are happy to do so if they are on hard ground and not grass and provided with shade from the sun.
