The Shropshire String Quartet
The Shropshire String Quartet works across the North West and are available as a standard quartet or an electric quartet. All the musicians are graduates of the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music.
Formed in 2002, The Shropshire String Quartet performs for around 40 weddings, functions and events each year and caters to a broad range of musical tastes and have music ranging from baroque/classical to pop/jazz and Bollywood.
They are happy to give suggestions for music choices and talk through any queries you may have. Their dress code is dinner or black suits for the men and all black for the ladies.
As well as performing for weddings and civil partnerships, The Shropshire String Quartet corporate clients include Yamaha, Yorkshire Bank, Ernst & Young and Manchester United. Should any member of the group be unavailable for a booking they will be replaced by a deputy drawn from a select group of exceptional professional musicians.
As freelance players members and deputies of the quartet play with world-class orchestras such as the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Shropshire String Quartet have a large music selection ranging from Baroque and Classical to Pop, Jazz, Bollywood, Movie and Musical themes. If you have a particular piece in mind that we do not already have, they will be happy to have this arranged for you.
