The Silhouettist
The Silhouettist is one of the foremost Silhouette artists in the country; she has been performing this rare art-form since 1999 and has built up a client list that includes famous actors, artists and royalty.
Silhouette cutting is a rare 18th Century, mix and mingle entertainment. True silhouette artists use nothing more than black paper and scissors, to create intricate portraits of guests in only minutes.
These flattering and stylish silhouettes are then mounted on attractive card and presented to the party goers. These mount cards can be branded with company logos or special messages for a minimal additional fee.
There are only half a dozen silhouette artists in the country which makes this art form extremely rare. Her fast paced artistry of capturing a flattering true-to–life likeness, balanced with her wit and friendly nature makes a real wow factor. We hired the talent of this Silhouette artist to entertain our guests during our wedding breakfast and also create some bespoke and personal wedding favours.
I cannot recommend her enough. Her communication is perfect, she is such a skilled entertainer - all of our guests were enthralled by the accuracy of the profiles and the speed in which she created them.
We have all of ours in frames and they are something we will treasure forever

What a lovely surprise to have her at my friend's black tie 30th birthday party.
She moved seamlessly though the guests crafting silhouettes. When we saw one of our friends finished portraits we knew we had to have one. The quality so good that at the end of the evening we were able to clearly identify some misplaced cards back with their rightful owners.
Whilst taking my silhouette she talked to me about her craft and the background of her work, all the time whilst snipping away at the paper. The portrait was excellent and presented on a cute keepsake card with a poem explaining the history of silhouettes.
My wife and I are now trying to come up with a good reason to host a party so that she can visit and meet our friends and families too! I would not hesitate at all at recommending her.

This performer came to our wedding at the Five Arrows Hotel in Waddesdon. I was looking for something unique that fitted in with our wedding theme of Art Deco, and would entertain and delight our guests while we went off for photos. I was delighted with the silhouettes of us and so many guests expressed their wonder and were so impressed with their silhouettes. It's amazing what she can do with a pair of scissors in a few seconds! I am so glad I requested duplicates as they will all be going in our guest book!
