The Ridings - Jazz Guitar and Sax Duo

This father and son jazz duo of guitar and saxophone are highly experienced in performing at all kinds of events. They are both highly sought after jazz musicians as well as maintaining very reliable careers as commercial musicians.

Award winning saxophonist Tom is a recent graduate from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music and was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award 2016.

Father, Mark has been a member of the BBC Big Band, performed on TV’s Strictly Come Dancing (in the band!) and has had a very wide and varied musical career.

Between them, they have performed at venues such as Buckingham Palace, Althorp House for Earl Spencer, Blenheim Palace, The Ivy Club, The British Ambassadors House (Berlin) etc. and in jazz venues such as Queen Elizabeth Hall, Ronnie Scotts Club, Barbican Centre, 606 Club and the Vortex. They have both appeared many times on BBC Radio 2 and 3 and have both performed on TV.
