The Kent Saxophone Player
The Kent Saxophone Player and Wedding DJ offers a wide range of styles and genres and is available for all kinds of events.
He is a highly experienced jazz and pop Saxophonist, performing regularly both as a solo artist and in several professional bands. As a first-class music degree graduate and professional saxophone teacher, he has all the skills to guarantee the very best in live music entertainment.
Also an accomplished wedding DJ, he can offer a DJ service for 5 hours (e.g. 7pm til midnight), including roughly 2 hours of saxing throughout the night. Other extras such as LED dance floors, light up love letters, etc. as well as a female singer, percussionist or a separate DJ can also be provided.
The Kent Saxophone Player has been making music since before he can remember and is proficient in many styles, on a number of instruments. Since graduating university, Dave has performed in a range of top-quality bands across the country, including some of London's most prestigious venues. He loves playing and this comes across in the enthusiasm and fun factor of his performances!
A saxophone performance is the perfect way to add that extra sparkle to your wedding day, party or any other event. It's unique, classy and fun, and goes a long way towards creating that 'no expenses spared' feel without overloading the budget. Saxophone music is ideal for wedding ceremonies and as light entertainment for drinks and dining, or as the main event of a dance party or wedding reception. PACKAGE OPTIONS & PRICES FOR SOLO SAX / SAX & DJing
Weddings (daytime):
Pre-ceremony drinks (starting roughly an hour before the ceremony) = £275
Wedding ceremony (inc. a few songs whilst the guests are being seated, music for the entrance of the bridal party, a few songs during he signing of the register and a song for the couple's exit) = £325
Drinks reception (up to 2 hours; sessions of more than 90 minutes will include a short break) = £425
Wedding breakfast (up to 2 hours; sessions of more than 90 minutes will include a short break) = £425
Events (daytime):
One hour pop-up local (central and east Kent only) Solo Sax performance = £325 (one hour set)
Two hour pop-up Solo Sax performance = (2x45 minute sets spread across 2 hours) = £425
Solo sax - DJ service (weddings and events):
Disco for up to 5 hours (to finish by midnight), inc roughly 2 hours of live sax throughout
Live Lounge Set up (classy, cocktail bar vibes, minimal lighting) = £690
Classic Set Up (includes some disco lighting; perfect for small venues) = £748
Premium Set Up (including light up podiums, additional disco lighting, best for medium and larger venues) = £805

The 'All Day' Wedding Package
The "All Day" package includes music for pre-ceremony drinks, wedding ceremony and evening function (solo sax - DJ with the 'Premium' set up) as well as either the wedding breakfast or drinks reception = £1380
Additional Notes:
The Kent Saxophone Player can provide suitable background or party music in between his sets, and for around half an hour after he has finished, whilst he packs away.
He invites all his clients to request songs and styles to suit their event. A “Sax Covers” performance is limited mainly to the repertoire listed below, as he uses specific backing tracks which are chosen specially to accompany the sax. “Smooth Sax” and “Party Sax” performances are much more flexible as the backing music is much less specific.
All prices quoted relate to the vast majority of bookings in Kent, however bookings on or around bank holidays, or elsewhere in the country/world may be subject to additional fees.
PERFORMANCE STYLES:
The Kent Saxophone Player plays a huge variety of music and offers three main style options. If your package contains more than one set then you can even choose to mix-and-match the different styles! Please check out his videos to see which style(s) would be perfect for your event.
“Sax Covers” Style:
In a “Sax Covers” session, he plays a huge range of pop and jazz classics, giving everything a cool, saxy vibe! He performs his “Sax Covers” sessions using professional backing tracks which have the singing removed (similar to karaoke tracks), so the sax can take the lead! You are welcome to make requests from his playlist of 200 songs, and he can usually learn one or two songs specially, as well!
Recommended for ceremonies, dinner, drinks, restaurants, etc. A “Sax Covers” session doesn’t need to involve a DJ.
“Smooth Sax” Style:
A “Smooth Sax” session is a mix of tropical house and Cafe Del Mar tracks, as well as chill-out remixes of well-known pop tunes, perfect for creating that holiday beach bar vibe!
Recommended for drinks, garden and pool parties, BBQs and any other event that wants a sunshiny vibe! This is also perfect for the opening set at an evening party, whilst the guests are arriving at the venue. He can perform a “Smooth Sax” session with or without a DJ.
“Party Sax” Style:
Looking for an Ibiza style Sax-DJ party? A “Party Sax” session is sure to make your event one to remember! He can perform a huge range of styles including Ibiza, club, dance, kisstory, garage, club classics, R'n'B and more! In fact, he can play more-or-less anything in a “Party Sax” session, so you don’t have to choose from a specific list.
Recommended for hen parties, birthdays, clubs and any event where you’ll want to dance! He can perform a “Party Sax” session on his own for smaller events (bars, small clubs, etc.), but we suggest also booking a DJ to join him for larger events.

Somehow he managed to create an atmosphere that was warm, eloquent and inclusive kicking off the playlist with smooth Ibiza style chill out music, a seamless transition through classic Sting and Van Morrison ending on a rendition of a Tottenham chant my father has sung on the terraces all his life!
