The Greeks - Greek Band

This London Greek band was formed in March 2009 in order to promote the authentic Greek sound of two bouzoukis playing prima-secunda. They will take you a journey through the various developments in Greek music from early smyrnaika, rembetika, archondo rembetica, classical laika and the compositions of the later Greek composers including the 'classical' composers Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis and Stavros Xarchakos.

Usually booked as a trio, the London Greek band can also expand to include percussion and keyboards as well as baglama, accordion and violin when the occasion requires a fuller sound. They can also provide female vocalists and dancers when required.

Weddings and parties are their speciality!
