She prides herself in delivering a high standard of performance with impeccable presentation. Her repertoire includes a wide selection of traditional Irish music with some popular and classical pieces.
She plays a beautiful traditional Irish harp which not only sounds fantastic but its sheer presence makes it a wonderful choice for all special events. Her music creates an atmosphere without ever imposing and is pleased to have just completed her first album.
The harp is, without doubt, the most romantic of instruments. Many brides have arrived to the elegant and distinctive sound of the harp and it provides a relaxing and non-intrusive background to the reception.
She plays a wide range of traditional Irish music with some popular and classical pieces. Her repertoire includes pieces composed by the famous blind harpist Turlough O'Carolan. His music combines his Irish heritage with the fashionable French Baroque style of the time. Many of his tunes sound dignified and joyful and are very appropriate choices for a wedding ceremony.
Wedding Ceremony (Church / Civil ceremony)
She will arrive approximately 40 minutes before the ceremony to set-up and play as your guests arrive. This includes playing music during the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register, as the wedding party and guests leave
Drinks Reception
This includes a selection of music to greet the guests as they arrive from the ceremony and while the bride and groom have their photographs taken. (She can even play outside, weather permitting of course)
Wedding Meal
She will play a selection of music from the moment the guests come in to dine, up to coffee or speeches.
Ceremony and drinks reception
What happens at a consultation?
This is your chance to choose your music and takes place around two months before the ceremony (or as soon as possible for short-notice bookings).
There is some beautiful music written specifically for the harp and she is happy to make suggestions to reflect your taste. She is always happy to try to accommodate unusual requests; if you want a particular piece that isn't currently part of her repertoire, you'll be asked to supply the sheet music. There will be an additional charge for learning and practice time of the new piece of music.
