The Amber Duo - Flute and Harp Duo

This dynamic Bristol based harp and flute duo are experienced at performing for weddings, events and concerts and their extensive repertoire encompasses classical, jazz and contemporary, including arrangements of popular music.

They provide a flexible approach and are happy to accommodate our client's preferences and requests, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

The duo have been performing together since 2001, after being brought together to perform Dave Heath’s Beyond The Dark. After this performance they were asked to perform the Mozart Flute and Harp Concert at the Guildhall in Bath with the Bath Spa University Orchestra and shortly after the duo was formed.
 
The Flautist studied at Bath Spa University College where she specialised in performance, graduating with an Honours degree. Currently, she is principal flautist for Brunel Sinfonia and Bristol Classical Players orchestras, the West Bristol Concert Windband and she is also a regular guest soloist with the Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male voice choir. She also teaches in a variety of schools in both the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas and is increasingly in demand as private flute teacher.
 
The Harpist began playing the harp at 16 when Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra needed a harpist to play with them and offered both a harp on loan and a teacher. After leaving university with a degree in Pure Mathematics, she studied privately with Imogen Barford (professor of harp at the Guildhall College of Music, London). She has continued to play in orchestras and regularly plays for Bristol Concert Orchestra, New Bristol Sinfonia and Brunel Sinfonia. Alongside performing she teaches privately at several schools in the Bristol area.
