1st Class Graduate Diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Music from Leeds City College
of Music (1986-89).
Eric Kershaw memorial award - Leeds City College (1989).

Performance
He composes, performs, records and tours with the Scottish Guitar Quartet, Alex Yellowlees Hot
Club and the jazz trio "One More Time" He has worked in many diverse musical situations including West End shows on tour (Cabaret, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Hottest Little Whore House in Texas), RSNO, Scottish Opera, BBC, jingle work for TV and radio, recording of albums, recording for other artists, recording of educational material, television broadcasts, International trade events, Jazz festivals, cover bands, touring, as well as regular organising and playing for corporate business and in many other diverse musical situations.

He currently endorses the Roland VG-88 cosm synth and Frameworks guitar.
