The London Guitar and Violin Duo - Classical and Latin Guitar and Violin Duo
The London Guitar and Violin Duo are comprised of a Spanish/Swiss violinist and a Cuban/British guitarist and are available for both concert bookings and events.
This contemporary classical violin and guitar duo have many years of experience performing Spanish and Latin folklore, as well as new commissions by leading composers such as Maria Camahort and grammy nominee Eduardo Martín.
Both Royal College of Music graduates, The London Guitar and Violin Duo met as ambassadors for the Concordia Foundation, and have both since established successful solo careers and released a number of acclaimed recordings.
A sophisticated virtuoso on his instrument and an ambassador of Cuban culture, the guitarist’s transcriptions of Jose Antonio Riojas’ unpublished works was nominated for Best Album & Best Single at the Latin American Music Awards UK and Songlines Magazine wrote 'You are left with the sensation of being touched to the core by exquisitely played pieces'.
The violinist's violin, viola and voice album was hailed by the Strad Magazine as ‘a remarkable concept album by a unique and imaginative solo performer” and put forward for a Royal Philharmonic Award in 2021. Her compositions, praised as ‘beautiful and powerful’ on BBC Radio3, have received extensive radio play worldwide.
The London Guitar and Violin Duo have performed at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and the Philharmonie de Paris and toured the UK, Spain, Malta, Azerbaijan, England, Scotland, Ireland, France and Switzerland.
