The Kent 1950s Band have established themselves as the UK’s No.1 rock ‘n’ roll show and a sensation wherever they appear. Their track record in show business over the last fourteen years speaks for itself.
Fronted by Mark, a very talented and dynamic guitarist / vocalist, they have gone from strength to strength since their appearance on Sky TV, which led to their National TV debut in 1994. Other TV Appearances have since followed, (including The National Lottery), also a ten minute part on “Where The Heart Is” in September 2008. The most recent TV showing was “High School Dance” in February 2009 on digital E4. The Band was a big part in the promotion of the American hit TV series “Sullivan & Son” for TBS across America, where his their version of Elvis’s song “What A Wonderful Life” was a major feature in the promotion.
The Kent 1950s Band is a classy, fully professional four-piece group with the amazing talents of John (vocals/lead guitar) regarded by fellow musicians to be one of the finest guitarists around today, Kurt (vocals/double bass) and Lloyd (vocals/drums) - have captivated audiences up & down the country and abroad with their very comprehensive range of rock‘n’roll music which includes commercial, Rockabilly, 3 part harmonised Doo Wop and of course their own compositions.
The Kent 1950s Band have supported many of today’s big name attractions including Bill Haley's original ‘Comets’, Marti Wilde, Buddy Holly's ‘Crickets’, The Drifters, Joe Longthorne, Showaddywaddy and Freddie Starr.
They have appeared at many top line venues including The London and Coventry Hilton Hotels, Butlins, Haven-Warner, Pontins, Chicago Rock Cafés, the list goes on…
This vibrant band is in constant demand on the military circuit both in the UK and abroad. They regularly tour such countries as Spain, Germany, Greece, Holland and Israel. They have recently finished a very successful holiday tour in Spain and Malta.
This sensational spectacular is adored by every age group, which makes it ideal for theatre, TV, hotels, cabaret, corporate and private functions everywhere.
