Weddings
The Wedding Piper will create a magical touch to your wedding day, be it a church or civil ceremony. The bagpipes are a great addition to any part of your wedding day reception or ceremony and traditionally a piper can be used to:
- Greet your guests prior to your arrival, and then escort the Bride into the church and down the aisle.
- Play inside the church during the signing of the register.
- Play the Bride and Groom out following the ceremony and whilst photographs are being taken outside of the Wedding party and Guests.
- Once the Bride and Groom have completed the receiving line (if applicable) play them both up to their table at the Wedding Breakfast.
- If a separate Evening Wedding Reception is planned, the piper can play whilst any additional guests arrive.
Funerals
Pipers have been used at military and state funerals for centuries, but today Piping is becoming more of a common feature at family funerals. The sound of the bagpipes adds a special touch to the service providing a perfect send off for your loved one.
Every funeral is different and he will discuss your exact requirements and liaise with the funeral director and advise them of your wishes and selection of tunes you would like played.
Typically at a Crematorium or Cemetery service the piper would meet the cortege on the driveway and play in front of the hearse up to the Chapel/Church doors and then lead everyone into the service. At the end of the service he can play an appropriate tune as the mourners exit.

Dad was a side drummer in a pipe band during his service with the RAF during WW2 and beyond and it meant a great deal to the family to honour our father in this way. He was so easy and efficient to organise everything over the phone.. plus he was extremely friendly and helpful. He found the venue which was not straightforward and he liaised with the wedding coordinator on the day before the booking. I hired the piper to play the bagpipes at a corporate event, a Burns Night Supper, and I was absolutely delighted with every aspect of the service I received. During the planning stages he was easy to contact and always responded to my calls and emails quickly - which I really appreciated. I had never planned a Burns Night event before and he was helpful and knowledgeable and shared his experience so I could get it right. On the evening itself he arrived early, arrived prepared and was incredibly professional, also he is incredibly talented. The playing was exquisite and we drew quite the crowd of onlookers from outside the venue and the guests were incredibly impressed.
