Marcus Norris - Classical Guitarist
Born in London in 1988, this Classical Guitarist was awarded 1st prize in the guitar competition at the Royal College of Music and went on to make his London debut performance at the Cadogan Hall at the age of 19.
He studied guitar from the age of seven, and was noticed at a young age for having exceptional talent. He studied privately with Craig Ogden for two years and currently studies with Gary Ryan at the Royal College of Music.
He also received the award for 'most oustanding musician' at Magdalen College School. He has performed throughout the UK and abroad and had masterclasses with David Russell, Gary Ryan, Carlos Bonnell, Craig Ogden, Andrew York, Chris Stell and Charles Ramirez.
His concerts captivate his audiences with his unique sound, flawless technique, musicianship and varied concert programmes. His concerts are always exceptionally well received. As a composer, his compositions open up the rich and varied sound world of the guitar and combine the traditional aspects of the instrument with extended performance techniques and more contemporary influences. His guitar is made by the English luthier, Stephen Hill.
