The Newmans Acoustic
This Kent acoustic duo are available for weddings and events throughout the South East of England. They are an award winning professional wedding duo who have performed at 100’s of events. They are known for providing great party entertainment with both male & female vocals, and an extensive up to date repertoire.
The musical director and guitarist started his career at the American Guitar Institute and within 6 months of graduating at 19 was signed to Universal Records. He toured America and the UK supporting The Who, Neil Young, Nickelback, Wheatus, and The Wallflowers and has performed with Elton John, Robbie Williams, Holly Valance to name a few.
During the day, the duo are able to play live music during the ceremony and drinks reception. This would include music before your guests take their seats and around 5 songs of your choice for the ceremony. Then approx. 3 x 35 min sets during drinks reception. The acoustic sessions provide stripped-back, 'live lounge' style versions of Ed Sheeran, Adele, Christina Perry,Kings of Leon, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Etta James and many more.
Personal presentation and projection is a very important part of the overall performance and they display a clean stylish look with a positive but not bullish image. The duo have predominately performed for private clients at a variety of venues including Woburn Abbey, Hampton Court, Brands Hatch, Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park. They have also performed for many corporate clients including Sony and Cisco.

We can't thank the duo enough for playing at our wedding a couple of weeks ago. They were absolutely incredible - fun, energetic, engaging and a lovely bunch of people! We were so happy to see the dance floor packed from start to finish, especially so when the party hats were pulled out! All of our guests told us how fantastic the band was and what a brilliant evening it was. Thank you for helping to make our our day one that we will never forget.

I can't thank you enough for your welcoming encouragement towards my 2yr old boy, who was just as impressed with your performances as everyone else. Allowing him to sing through the mic and also offering him to come and stand with you on the stage was such a nice touch. Interaction like that proves that you are not only musicians, but performers too.

The Newmans Acoustic Duo are awesome. The one thing I knew about planning a wedding was get the music and booze right and you are on to a winner. Having struggled with confirming another band previously and getting frustrated, a Facebook ad popped up and after having a quick flick though I thought they sounded perfect. From the first contact all the way through they were professional, prompt and a breeze to deal with, another important point when planning a wedding. On the night they had everyone up dancing and we had so many comments on how great they were. We cannot thank you guys enough and would highly recommend them!
