Ivory Strings
This Cello and Piano Duo for weddings are based in Nottinghamshire and can be hired as a duo or you can hire the solo cellist. The duo started playing together in 2011 and have been providing live music for weddings, parties and events since then.
In that time thy have played in some of the countries most beautiful wedding venues including Chatsworth house in Derbyshire, Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire and Fountains abbey in North Yorkshire.
A solo cello offers the perfect accompaniment for an intimate, smaller wedding ceremony with the live piano offering a more personal touch than a pre-recorded backing track. With a wide choice repertoire including popular classics and hymns as well as some jazz and pop favourites they are able to offer the perfect accompaniment to your special day.?

Ivory Strings were truly outstanding and an unforgettable part of our wedding day. From the very first note, they brought my vision to life so beautifully. It honestly felt like a dream. Their professionalism, musical talent, and sensitivity to the atmosphere made the entire ceremony feel deeply personal and moving.
Every song was played with such care and elegance, and the arrangements were simply stunning. So many of our guests commented on how incredible the music was, and I couldn't agree more.

The duo played whilst our wedding guests arrived and through the ceremony. The guests commented on how lovely the music was and they really helped to set the tone of the day. They were able to fulfil all of our requests and we were so pleased with how the music turned out. Would definitely recommend them for a wedding or special event.

Both my wife and I would like to extend a warm embrace of gratitude to Kala Jira. They arrived at our wedding venue in deepest Leicestershire, early morning and were no trouble in setting-up and getting on with the set. We had asked (at short notice too) for them to learn about a half dozen songs which were very close to my wife's heart and with little effort they incorporated this into the great song-list they had. Our most memorable moment of the whole Indian wedding was when they played "Durge Durge" just as i was placing sindoor through my wife's hair, just so meaningful for us and perfect timing. The Flute and tabla music was wonderful throughout the day and in the coming weeks both my wife and I have had numerous guests message us to ask who they were and wanting their contact details, which make us more than happy to pass on, they really set the most perfect ambiance. Many thanks once again and we would definitely recommend anyone to hire Kala Jira.
Lots of Love

Thank you so much for playing for us and also allowing Georgie to sing along with you, it sounded so beautiful, it was a shame we had to sign the register at the same time as both Ben and I just wanted to sit and listen to it in entirety, it certainly was a very special moment.
