The Steel Drummers - Steel Band
This steel band perform throughout the Midlands and North West and are specialists in weddings, formal functions, and Caribbean themed events, and have been using their own unique style of tropical tunes to warm events of all types for the past 30 years.
They play a mixture of infectious island melodies, well known pop songs and sing alongs, and even Christmas carols - all with a Caribbean twist.
They are one are of the most popular steel bands on the circuit, and have performed in 12 different countries, and counting, for corporate heavyweights such as Nokia, Cadbury and Sky TV.
Lead by the perfect pitched jazz junkie, Francis, they manage to produce the sweetest of sounds with anything from one to six players, and hence consistently offer the right sized ensemble to suit each particular event and budget.
Ask nicely and they might even let you have a go!
2 hours of playing can be spread over the course of your day/evening as instructed. Usually booked as a TRIO or DUO, they are also available from 1 - 6 musicians upon request.
