The Flanders & Swann Tribute - Tribute Act

This duo are a fantastic tribute to the famous Flanders & Swann duo - a great comedy cabaret act suitable for retirement homes, festivals and cabaret bookings.

More than a hint of nostalgia with perfect entertainment for all types of functions, from dinners to conferences, celebrations & charity fundraising events!

The Singer (Bass-Baritone) was born in Bristol shortly after the Second World War because his mother was living there at that time and he wanted to be near her. He started his professional career as a choirboy (half a crown for a wedding) and then, after cutting his teeth on a trumpet, was advised by his dentist to concentrate on Singing. At 16 he became the youngest member of the BBC West of England Singers who regularly broadcast to one man and his dog on a wet night. He successfully auditioned for English National Opera and has regularly appeared in opera and musicals.

The Pianist (Pianoforte and Soprano?) was a junior Exhibitioner at the Royal Academy of Music. He has conducted many orchestras and choirs during his long and illustrious (his words) career. He's always up for a challenge! With his wife Lisa, they regularly gig for a folk dance band around their local area, (but draw the line at Line Dancing)

They usually perform for 2 x 30 minute sets but can play longer if required.

The Flanders & Swann Tribute - Tribute Act Feedback

Yes, the performers arrived at our venue in good time and were able to set up for the performance. Their act was well received by our audience generating a good atmosphere in our gathering of 133 members. The only issue was in the first session when one of their microphones was found to be faulty. This was however put right for the second session. All in all our Probus Committee were very pleased with the performance and we will be writing to the performers to say our thanks.
