Mick Williams
When he was first asked to play a couple of Bollywood songs, this pianist had no idea that within two years he'd be playing regularly in cities from London to Manchester and would be playing for the superb singer Jas Dhami.
He has now played at many high-profile venues including Canary Wharf, Royal Ascot, Twickenham, Bingley Hall, Event City in Manchester, Manchester Town Hall – too many to mention!
Most of the songs he plays have been specifically asked for by brides and he is happy to learn/arrange songs which are not on his current song list, especially for any key moments during a wedding.
Taking on a new song can be quite time-consuming as sheet music is often not available – he simply listens very carefully to a new song and works it out on the piano! There is no charge for this service or for planning out the music in as much detail as you wish.
On the wedding day he would provide his slim-line digital grand piano, a Roland RG-1. This piano can be linked directly into a PA system - either his own or an on-site sound system. This is intended to spread the sound around the room or venue for weddings with more than about 80 guests. If he is playing for your wedding ceremony as well as later on in the day, you can choose to have two pianos on site: this allows for a seamless transfer from room to room (no pianos to move!) Weather permitting, one piano could be played outside!
Most couples like to plan their music with him at my home in Staffordshire - there is no extra charge for this and he will give you all of the time and attention to detail you require.
He offers an 'unlimited' playing time in the sense that he does not require breaks as such. There is also no charge for any incidentals (such as accompanying a singer) or for adding songs or material which he is not already familiar with.
