As a caricaturist with many years of experience in family events, he noticed that people become mesmerised at seeing a whimsical and colourful work of art emerge on a blank screen of an iPad.
The entertainment he offers is not only interactive and sustainable; it also introduces all people to the possibilities of new technologies – a prospect which, to them, will always be very attractive!
Live caricature drawing is a unique idea for virtually any event; birthday parties, end-of-school parties, or big family events (weddings, gatherings, anniversaries) with separate entertainment for the young guests. It requires minimal equipment, and so it can be set up speedily anywhere and at any time, whilst not taking up a lot of space. An iPad or a Wacom Cintiq tablet would be connected to a TV screen via USB, so people could observe the caricature-drawing process. They could participate in the creation of black-and-white as well as colour drawings, give the artist ideas for caricature drawings of their friends, and in the end, receive an instant print-out of the final creation from a portable Wifi printer. This being only the skeleton of the idea, he can also offer:
- A selection of ready-made, customisable ‘bodies’ for the caricatures that victims could pick for themselves – e.g. superheroes, Disney characters, celebrities, football players, animals, and more!
- A5 format printed caricatures that could be made into ‘avatar necklaces’ or badges, for each victim to wear for the duration of the party.
The Bristol Caricaturist offers live caricatures that bring a lot of fun to any event, and have the additional bonus of each person receiving a little gift at the end.
It would go hand-in-hand with a photo-booth, face-painting, or other popular entertainment acts! Moreover, it is not confined to an outdoor space, which means it would be ideal for the colder months when most parties are forced to happen indoors.

Just to let you know that Patrick arrived on time for the evening wedding reception at the Bedford Hotel Tavistock, Devon on Saturday 21st July and proved an instant hit. He never stopped drawing the whole time he was there. Everyone was really pleased and said how good he was. He made a real impression and I would definitely recommend him as a brilliant entertainer at any function. We did express our appreciation to him but would ask you to pass on our thanks as he made a real contribution to making our daughter’s wedding a great success.

I surprised my son with a 21st birthday party on 10th Feb 2017 and wanted some entertainment that offered something a bit different. I spent a while shopping around for a caricaturist, some were charging in excess of £400 for a couple of hours!! I was a bit sceptical at first due to the price being so reasonable but I needn't have worried at all, he was FANTASTIC! He managed I don't know how many drawings in such a short space of time and the likeness he managed to capture was uncanny, you know exactly who they are by his drawings. I loved that people got to take away a keepsake of my sons 21st, I would definitely use him again and would highly recommend to my friends too. He was also very helpful from beginning to end and happily answered all questions that I had. Thanks for making my sons 21st one to remember! :)
