Geoff Robb - Guitarist
Looking for a classical guitarist in Sussex? Geoff Robb is a Sussex classical guitarist and composer and also the founder of Find a Performer. He was born into a musical family and began performing as a street musician in his late teens and early twenties while travelling throughout Europe.
Since then he has played at several hundred weddings, concerts, parties and events across the UK and Ireland and performs on a guitar he made himself with the expert help of luthiers Richard Osborne and Cameron Mobbs.
In 2017 he launched his 3rd album 'The Burren' which is an album of original instrumental guitar compositions that blend Geoff's classical training with his love of Spanish and Celtic music.
In 2018 Geoff won the Brighton Fringe 'Latest Music Award Award' which is the only prize for music in the festival.
"Very talented - makes the guitar sound like 2 guitars and a piano" BBC Southern Counties
He studied classical guitarist with Paul Gregory (winner of the International Segovia Prize), and has had tuition from many of the top classical guitarists and has a diploma in jazz. He has performed Vivaldi's 'Concerto for Lute in D' (on the guitar) with The Bath Concertina Orchestra but works mostly as a soloist, playing recitals at arts festivals and guitar festivals across the UK and can often be seen as the ‘warm-up act’ for many international touring guitarists as they pass through Sussex.
“Geoff Robb – an outstanding guitarist. Every song he played was impeccable and his innovative technique was of the highest standard.” The Argus
Geoff is now based in Sussex and enjoys providing beautiful background music, both gentle and entertaining for weddings, corporate events and parties. He specialises in classical music from Spain and Latin America but also includes music that your guests will know and love including arrangements of popular songs.
He is also passionate about writing music - his compositions blend his classical training and interest in healing and meditation with his love of Celtic and Spanish music.

“Thank you for your beautiful playing last night. It was perfect for the occasion - striking just the note of relaxed sophistication that I was hoping to achieve. I only wish I had had 2 pairs of ears - one to listen to you properly and one to listen to my guests. Hope it wasn’t too odd playing amongst the specimen jars!
