"The Eden Stell Duo played to the max!" New York Times

"In every respect the performances and recording are of the highest quality. The Eden Stell Duo are one of the best duos around. This is a land mark recording on the guitar’s map." Gramophone

"The Eden Stell Guitar Duo were ideal interpreters of this complex music. Their humorous introduction set the audience at ease, their mastery of Brouwer’s atonal style showcased its inherent beauty, and their expressive physicality highlighted the inherent drama with a mime of grandiose pomposity, boredom, menacing aggression, and hurt feelings. The audience was, by turns, raptly silent, laughing out loud, and vigorously cheering." San Francisco Classical Voice

"The Eden Stell Guitar Duo continue to render superlatives redundant … blinding virtuosity … full of infectious vitality … one of the greatest duos of their generation." Classical Guitar Magazine

"Impressing further with their meticulously precise ensemble." The Times

"I was hanging on almost every note … a riveting experience." The Independent

"Mark Eden and Christopher Stell have breathed new life into the world of the classical guitar … Here is the future of guitar music." Rotterdam Dagblad (Netherlands)

"Unanimous ensemble … an original program … uncanny co-ordination .. a truly virtuoso performance." Musical Opinion

"Blessed with impossibly wonderful technique and an exceptional delicate touch." The Observer

"Mark Eden and Christopher Stell are both driven guitar virtuosos, but it is their interaction that is the focus of their music making, with a synchronicity of the rhythm and voicing that makes the guitar’s tone and texture becomes more than the sum of its parts. They show that special qualities can be produced through transcribing works especially baroque pieces for guitar – the Bach concerto performed by the English duo, brought out the frailty, like a fine wire and translucent glow that required constant precision between the instruments." Uppsala Nya Tidning (Sweden)
