Topaze - French Guitar & Vocals
This duo have a set comprised of songs only in the French language with vintage, jazz and Latin flavours. Although they travel through the vintage era of Edith Piaf they also explore the modern vibes of Vanessa Paradis and other pleasant and popular artists.
The collaboration of the British guitarist and French born singer provide beautifully unique performances, where they have worked hard, using their past experience to develop a completely individual and unique set list.
The singer has gained extensive experience performing as a lead singer in various function bands playing at weddings, corporate functions and festivals including: John Lewis, Tonbridge Castle Festival, Lounge on the Farm in Canterbury, The Barfly and the Hammersmith Palais in London. Her biggest influences are Edith Piaf, Vanessa Paradis, Serge Gainsbourg and Jacques Brel.
The guitarist has developed a well-respected reputation in the area, having performed as Soho Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Dean Street, guitar festivals and arts centres including Euro Wirral International Guitar Festival and Bath International Guitar Festival.
His performances are highly virtuosic, imaginative and expressive and combined with the singer's natural and humorous rapport with the audience, the duo have a great friendly stage presence.
Available for French themed events, weddings and parties throughout the South East.
